Lazy Bird Recording Project.
Here is the master file for Lazy Bird. You will 1...3...1..2..3..4.. before the music begins.
This piece is written for a flexible combo with only 2 trumpet parts and 2 trombone parts. Plus flute. |
You will hear a midi-generated rendering of the piece. That is to help you stay in time. It doesn’t present much in the way of dynamic change or vibrato or soul; you’ll have to add that yourselves!
- If you can, play the master recording through head phones, and record yourself playing along on your phone. It doesn’t matter what device you record on – but it is best if your recording doesn’t include any of the master video’s sound file. You could probably get away with playing and having the master recording’s volume on very low.
- Record yourself with both audio and video. Iphone camera is fine. When you are finished, send me your file, labelled “Lazy Bird” + “Your Name” and the “instrumental part that you recorded”. Some of you have indicated that you would like to record multiple parts (different instruments). That is fine. Each must be a separate file.
- Your files will be large so texting or email may not work.
