“Art that’s Urgent” explored a range of art works that were made under circumstances that moved the artist to create with a sense of urgency. Such conditions are endless so Kym provided a wide range of examples from artists responding to current events, war photography to graffiti and art painted on melting glaciers. The final example was a hands-on activity during which we all experienced the urgency of a fresco painter who must make an image in wet plaster before it dries forever.
