Presentation. February 12, 2024.
Many thanks to Jerry Streets for his presentation last month about which he says, “The last lines in John Keat's poem "Ode to a Grecian Urn" state: "Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all. Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know." The basic theme of my presentation was that there is an esthetic in all of us that appreciates and wishes to express what we consider beautiful about life. We are all artist of some kind and for me, reading, listening to poetry being read and writing poetry is one of endless forms of expressing how we experience living. I encourage that we each nurture the esthetic that I believe is in each of us.”
